Cốc Cốc’s Q2 2026 Search Trends: Jobs Surged, and AI Queries Ate the Tech Category

Cốc Cốc published its Q2 2026 search trend round-up and it is more useful than another market-share pie. Across eight main themes, query volume on Cốc Cốc rose 5.9% versus Q1. Technology and entertainment stayed the largest buckets. The fastest climber was jobs, up 27%. Finance, vehicles and travel grew 14.3%, 13.9% and 12.4%. That is a demand map for anyone still treating Vietnam as “Google, plus a browser with a cartoon logo”.

We have already argued that Cốc Cốc still runs a real, if national, index and set out the 2026 SEO basics. The Q2 report is the editorial update: where Vietnamese-language intent actually moved.

AI is the query, not just the feature

Cốc Cốc says AI remained the leading technology theme. ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Hay, Grok and DeepSeek all held large query volumes. The new-model spike is the loud part: DeepSeek V4 searches up 5,076%, OpenAI’s o4-mini appearing in the breakout set for the first time, and specialist apps moving hard — Dola AI +2,476%, OpenQuiz +673%, Iron AI +485%, AI Buddy +338%. People in this index are not only asking “what is AI?”. They are searching product names the way they search for banks and scooters.

For publishers and brands that means two uncomfortable things. First, a translated “AI trends” essay from your global blog will not match diacritics, local app names, or the way Vietnamese queries segment. Second, Cốc Cốc’s own AI Answer Box — flagged on the search features page as a beta that mixes OpenAI with Cốc Cốc’s model — will happily summarise the category you hoped to own with a listicle. Original Vietnamese comparisons, prices and “which app for this job” pages are the inventory that still earns the click.

Jobs, money, wheels, trips

The non-AI story is the one international sites skip. A 27% jump in employment queries is a content and landing-page brief: roles, salaries, visa and shift patterns, not a generic careers header. Double-digit finance growth favours explainers with numbers and eligibility, not brand anthems. Vehicle queries are comparison and price heavy. Travel at +12.4% is permission to build province-level pages rather than one “Visit Vietnam” URL. VnExpress, citing On Digitals, put Google near 94% and Cốc Cốc near 4.4% of Vietnam search in May 2026. Share that small does not make a 27% category move optional if Vietnam is a revenue line.

Opinion: use the Q2 report as a commissioning list, not a press-release quote. If your Vietnam content calendar cannot point at jobs, household finance, motorbikes or a specific AI app people are actually typing into Cốc Cốc, you are still writing for a headquarters persona. Submit the new URLs in Cốc Cốc Search Console, watch the crawler, and judge pages on task completion. The index is national. The demand shift is specific. Those are different facts, and only the second one tells you what to publish next.
